Staffing Inc Staffing Inc Addison, IL Addison, IL Full-time Full-time $30 - $32 an hour $30 - $32 an hour SUMMARY Responsible for all aspects of proper thermoplastic injection molding machine operations and related secondary equipment, including the ability to produce a quality product at or under established cycle times.
Responsible for monitoring molding machinery during operation, monitoring production levels and complete required daily documentation.
This person is required to have the ability to make machine and equipment adjustments, as necessary, to improve efficiency and maintain quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Ability to read and write English at an appropriate level in order to correctly perform essential duties of the job.
Ability to communicate any problems with the machine, material, product or safety to an appropriate Blackhawk representative.
Ability to maintain performance and operation of the molding machines, peripheral equipment (including vision systems according to the individual plant's current protocol) and secondary equipment.
Ability to properly inspect all raw materials and all levels of production.
Posses the fine motor skills required to properly use Go/No Go sizing gauges.
Ability to remove defective product from a production area as required by current plant location protocol.
Ability to follow, understand and enforce all relevant BMC policies.
Ability to maintain all production and raw material inventories' using the FIFO system.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with equipment and productivity, make adjustments to the molding machines and secondary equipment.
Perform minor maintenance and assist the maintenance department in identifying equipment/items in need of repair.
Ability to monitor cycle times and production rate and personnel assigned to work in their area.
Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to record daily production and complete all departmental documentation.
Ability to inspect product for defects.
Both visual and dimensional.
Ability to set/pull molds when required.
Ability to work overtime as required/requested.
Ability to follow all HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.
Ability to perform all of the above under the given Physical Demands.
Requirements - Must have Must have 5 years
molding experience (Outside of BMC is a plus) High School diploma or equivalent The ability to train personnel on machine functions, setup and molding principles to new and junior setup and molding techs.
Troubleshooting techniques for processing and equipment malfunctions.
Scientific molding principles Computer skills/directory and file structure Word processor Complex mold assemblies (cold/hot and insulated runner systems) While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is regularly required to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls and stand.
The employee is frequently required to walk, talk and hear.
The employee must occasionally sit, reach above the shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color acuity.
The work environment is a shop environment with a loud noise level.
At times, the work environment may be significantly above 70 degrees Fahrenheit and at other times it may be significantly below 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Personal protective eyewear and safety gloves are available and in some instances required.
For this job, Safety Shoes will be required at all times.
