00 hourly Description:
We are looking for a retired SRO or seasoned security officer to assist with security at the Center for Student Success which serves as the regional safe school for DuPage County.
The program is currently located in Addison and the position would be for 176 days a year, six hours per day.
Our students range in age from 11-19, and attend the safe school as an alternative to expulsion.
The ideal candidate would have experience with verbal de escalation skills as we are not a hands on school.
Prior experience with at-risk youth would also be extremely helpful in this role.
In conjunction with building administration, the candidate would be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure learning environment as well as managing communications with local law enforcement agencies.
The hourly rate is $40 without benefits, 6 Hours per day.
176 School days per year.
The candidate would not be an employee of the Regional Office of Education, but would be considered an independent contractor.

Responsibilities:
Supervise school campus via cameras and building walkthroughs Patrol and monitor all campus areas to ensure a safe environment Assist Administration and Restorative Interventionist in processing student behavior Assist CSS Administration on investigations as needed Escort students to and from classes as needed Monitor halls and entrances for unauthorized visitors Monitor arrival and dismissal as directed Provide assistance in emergency situations as needed Report any security concerns to administration in a timely fashion Perform other duties as assigned by the administration Other:
